This is my hennaed hair.
Its long
enough to sit on. I'm 50-something, and have graying brown
hair.
I henna as often as I can find time, and henna keeps the gray blended
in.
The brown roots never show when I haven't had time to henna for months
and months. The newly hennaed gray looks like red or strawberry
blond
threads in the red auburn. The gray totally disappears after a
few
hennas.
I mix up 500g of my own body art quality henna and lemon juice, to about the consistency of stirred up yogurt, and leave that to sit overnight. I slop it into my hair, getting the roots the best I can, then wrap it up in saran wrap for 3 or 4 hours. Then I rinse it out. That's it. Nothing fancy. I go to the gym and swim regularly, and that doesn't seem to bother the color at all. Catherine Cartwright-Jones
