My mom's natural hair color is medium to dark brown and she hasnatural highlights as well. When I applied henna however, her hair
was dyed a light brown so it came out a medium red. After about two
weeks, you could see her brown roots coming in. I managed to restore
her hair back to its natural color by using 1:1 parts of henna and
indigo mixed together. You can't really tell the difference between
her roots and the rest of her hair now. It seems that the higher
the percentage of indigo, the darker the brown.
