I usually cut off 3 pieces about 30 in long and drape them against the
tile in the bathroom or cover anything I don't want splashed (does
double duty). I also cut 2 4in squares to cover my side burns. I also
cut paper first aid tape to stick down the side burn piece and put
that against the tile.

I do this all before I slap the henna in my hair, so I can put it on
with my messy gloves if I have to.

The first piece I wrap tight and angled for my back neck area and go
around my whole head without getting the forehead line just right. The
second piece I get the front hairline right and go around not worryig
too much about my side burn area but the part above my ears. The
third piece I wrap around for the heck of it to hold it all together.
It was mostly a spare in case one of the others got tangled.

Lastly I make sure the henna is wet and covering my side burns (I have
grey there) and cover them with one corner the squares and tape them
to my face with the rest clinging to the saran wrap. Sometimes I tape
down the back near my neck in one spot so it won't come up and dry out.

I have never found those cheap hotel style shower caps in the shops,
but I bet they would me easier. The regular shower caps are too tight
and slide around on my huge head.
