I use bottled lemon juice, no water, to mix my henna and it really
boosts the colour. I used to have psoriasis, dandruff, assorted scalp
itchies, yet since I've been hennaing - nothing but shiny, healthy
hair! Go for it, you'll LOVE it!

: Well, I just found this sight and looking at the clock realized I
: have now spent just over two hours here! Wow! I have never used
: henna for my hair(just for body art)and have not dyed it for
years.
: I do have a perm that is three months old. My hair is fine and just
: below shoulder length (growing out from my head being shaved a
couple
: of years back!). I have been wanting to henna my hair and my
teenage
: daughters as well. Here is my concern, the home we moved into back
in
: December has very hard water! So, bad that the entire family has
: developed dandruff and dry skin in the three months we have lived
: here. How does water quality affect the dye? Also, I have been
: under tons of stress and have had hair loss due to this. I know
that
: this did not affect the perm, and assume henna to be the same! Any
: thoughts??? Thanks in advance
