Thanks for the kind replies. In the 'old days' before I learned here
about body art quality henna, I used to use Colora + hot water, as
its package directs.That provided a good, but not lasting, stain. So
I'd be interested to try the same procedure with 'proper' henna.
Should I notice after a few hours that I am having trouble with dye
release, can a small amount of acid be added at that point?
Second question: where does one obtain citric acid, and what does it
look like? (Please forgive my ignorance: I believe it is something
one uses in fruit preservation, but am no kitchen witch!) TIA
