How often does everyone get their hair cut?

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have started using Henna
mainly in order to improve the condition of my hair in order to grow
it long.

I have always wanted long hair, but was previously using chemical
dyes, which damaged it to the extent that I couldn't grow it beyond
shoulder lenghth without having to get about 2 inches chopped off due
to split ends and frizziness. I used to have to get it cut at least
every 2 months!

I started using Henna about 2-3 months ago, and have just done my 4th
application. I have noticed far fewer split ends and have not felt the
need to have my hair cut for about 5 months.

I was wondering how often people who have been using henna find it
necessary to have their hair cut? I want to go for as long as
possible, but avoid that situation of going in and being told I will
have to have about 5 inches chopped off due to leaving it too long!
