...fine, soft and fluffy and beautiful green. Not artificial looking, but
the color green of maybe canned asparagas, it kind of has that
sorta smell too. Green, plant like earthy. It is finely filled, the bag
has weight to it (it is an already opened almost used bag)

Does ppd have a smel or metallic salts or lead or anything?

It says "natural" on the bag, (not 100% natural and not 100%
henna)

The test uses a different % of ammonia then household
ammonia, that is like photography strength, blackroom
ammonia. I do not have that here, or access to that where I am.

I am also nervous because I am thinking the combination of
peroxide and ammonia would cause a foaming stink on it's
own...anyway, with or without the hair. Think of mixing up a batch
of jolen bleach, to bleach your mustache (if you are female ;-) !) It
foams and puffs up after it is mixed together. With or without hair.

Isn't peroxide (like bleach) dangerous to mix into ammonia? It
says right on the bottle NOT to mix with anything.

UGH I can't do the test anyway, I really just wanted to do a little
design on my left hand. My sister's wedding is this weekend.
She and her mother (Moroccan using henna all her life, although
I ddoubt that brand) did not even know about this ppd danger,
they thought I was exaggerating.

Should I assume it has no PPD? Does red ever have ppd in it or
just the black? Might red ever have indigo in it, or would that not
be added? Does the red ever have red "dye" in it?

I did a search on Sadaf henna red, I got like 3 hits. Two were
from people selling it (Sadaf's site [no pics, no description] and
another Arabic site [no pics, no description] ) and another where
a Mehndi artist said she used it and it was gross (exploded the
cone) but that's it.

Should I guess that if there is NO more mention of it, no danger
has been linked to it?

I guess I probably will not find out the safety of this product
unless someone out there has used it. Thank you for your
posts.

Love & Light, Tee
