PPD's and SLS

I just read the post on PPD's. TERRIBLE STUFF! Anyway, isn't that
ingredient in shampoos? I know when I use Aveda, my head itches.
It may be a reaction to the "natural" herbs in it, but since PPD
comes in a variety of names, and we aren't all chemists, how does
one know they aren't getting that in something else they use? What
about sodium laurel sulfate? I have heard that is terrible stuff,
but it's in almost everything.
