I saw a product marketed as "henna for hair" on several web sites.
http://www.ballbeauty.com/avigal-henna.htm is one and the other is
sold from the just for redheads site. The product claimed that this
henna could be used without fear over permed or commercially dyed
hair. It also claimed that their "100% pure henna" came in several
different shades because new shrubs of the lawsonia plant had been
discovered and developed, yielding shades ranging from hazel, topaz
and cognac to mahogany, brown (which has no trace of red in it),
burgundy and black.
It sounds like a lot of bunk to me, but is this possible?
I'm a natural redhead who's dyed her hair auburn for several years
and am tired of the damage to my long hair from the harsh dyes. I'd
like to use henna but don't want to risk any further damage (or goat
vomit colored hair, either). Is this product worth considering?
