coloring grey hair

I wrote a number of months back re: henna for my hair, but since I
still had commercial hair color in my hair there wasn't much I could
do. In the meantime I have been coloring the roots with either Sante
or Logona natural hair color. I have to say that they both work well.
However, I am still searching for that right color for me. I do not
look good in red hair and am trying to get to a deep, dark brown
without much luck. I still have some commercial color in the ends (I
have shoulder-length hair), but haven't used a commercial color since
last Sept. Can someone recommend a mix that will give a better brown
(less red, more blue tones)? Another direction that really appeals to
me is to keep the reddish-brown hair but add black steaks. Is this
possible with henna/indigo? I would really appreciate any useful tips
and am looking forward to hearing from you. Kim
