Pam's Daughter's Mix

| Here is a picture of my
daughters hair after I hennaed it for her. She had dyed it with synthetic dye a couple of months previous to this henna. I used a mix of 100 g. Rococo Henna, 50 g. your henna mixed with 50/50 cold lemon juice and water mixture (to which 1/3 cup of red wine was added). The henna solution was put in an empty yogurt container with plastic wrap on top of paste inside container and a folded paper towel on top of the plastic to show when dye was released, then put the lid of container on. The paste showed dye release after about 7 hours. 4 heaping T. black walnut powder + 1 heaping T. Indigo powder both added after dye release of the henna powders. Let the whole solution set for another hour and then applied to a strand of her hair underneath to test. Her hair showed no bad chemical affect from the henna. Let it set out for more dye release until the next morning when we applied henna to her head. Let it stay on for 6 to 7 hours. Then she washed it out in shower with allot of conditioner. This is the result several days later. She may do this again in a few weeks only adding more black walnut powder as she really wanted more brown. Her hair was almost this same color before we hennaed it except it was not as shiney. She likes it! Now I just hope she continues to use the henna and not use synthetic dyes. Pam |
