Nancy's Mixes

First let me say that I am 44 with naturally med reddish brown hair down to my bra which has some grey and has thinned slightly. I used a permanent chemical dye until about 2 months ago so I did the collected hair test and things seemed fine. I used the henna that I bought from Catherine recently and double strength coffee brewed with tap water and used bottled lemon juice.

I washed my hair and used no creme rinse the night before. I mixed about 200 grms of henna with 1/2 cooled coffee and 1/2 lemon juice and juice from half a lime that was lying by the bowl. I mixed it in a plastic bowl with a plastic spatula then covered it with plastic and let it set over night (11 hours) in a kitchen at about 65 degrees. I then slathered it on, covered it with a plastic bag and left it with just the plastic for 2 1/2 hours then rinsed with a big handful of creme rinse. The picture was taken as soon as it dried.
