Laura's hair inside, and Laura's hair in the sun
I just recently dyed my hair with henna for the very first time and I seriously love it!
I first mixed up Reshma henna with lemon juice and then added some paprika. I let it sit on top of my fridge for about a day and a half and then I added some more paprika and lemon juice and used it on my hair that same night. I left the henna on for about 2 1/2 hours.
I don't know exactly how much henna, lemon juice or paprika I used...I was just playing it by ear! I did add ALOT of paprika, though, because I wanted a more orange/red color, which I did get!
I am SO happy with how it turned out and I'm also really happy about it because I used to dye my hair with a bunch of crap chemical dyes (that were expensive!) and the color always faded really fast. I love that I don't see the orange color being washed down the drain whenever I wash my hair.
The last time I dyed my hair with any chemical dyes was a little over a year ago.
I forgot to take some pictures of my hair before, but it's a medium brown color with some random gray hairs in there (and I'm only 21!)
Seriously, thank you so much for having this site because I was really nervous about doing this, but after reading up on everything I had more of an idea of what to expect and I knew what I should and shouldn't do!
