Mix

| here is my henna mix. First I bought my henna and indigo from Catherine at mehandi.com. Its great stuff! Let it be known that I have been in the past, a ppd addict. Within the past year I have bleached my hair NUMEROUS times, dyed it black, Feria REd, bleached it...dyed it again, etc. The last time I dyed my hair with bad icky poo chemicals was 3 months ago. My hair was damaged and a vast array of colors when you looked at it closely. In August I had my hair dyed dark brown on top and pink underneath. It look really cool, at first. And that is what I henna'd over. So, I got 100g of henna and 100g of Indigo from Catherine. The first time I did henna 2 weeks ago I mixed it with lemon juice, raspberry tea, a splash of coffee and like 10 drops of lavender oil. I let that sit in my hot garage (in Texas the garage is hot in november one week and freezing the next). The next day I took my indigo and added water and let it sit for 10 minutes until it was blueish from the dye release. I then mixed the indigo and henna and put that slop on my head. After 5 hours I washed it out. So for the first henna I used 100g henna and maybe 1/3 cup of indigo. I just henna'd my hair for the second time this weekend (2 weeks after 1st time). I did a 50/50 mix of henna and indigo. I mixed it the same but used less lemon juice and more apple cider vinegar. I let the henna sit overnight for the same amount of time. Since I used more indigo my hair is very dark! I love it! My hair is so soft and silky and hardly tangles! Before henna my hair was brittle and had BAD split ends and general damage. I feel lucky that I was able to henna over the chemicals that I recently put in my hair - but I knew it would be ok because I used body art quality henna AND I did a strand test first! You must test!
