Henna for Hair

Ms T's Mix
Ms T's Hair

Finally I got to send a picture. I am growing out my old, toxic, chemical grrl color out while I henna. I have been getting it trimmed every 3months on the full moon.

I use about 50g of henna for my hair length. Usually If I dont have lemon juice I will use cider vinegar instead. Its a bit harsh but I have psoriasis so it cleans my scalp well. The first mix is usually all vinegar.

I throw it in a plastic tub and make it almost liquid, the henna seems to gel up when it sits overnight and take up the liquid added in the morning well.

When I wake up I put in either tee tree or lavender into the mix, I throw in a full dropper of each.

If the mix looks like it can handle more liquid without turning into a runny nightmare on my head, I will add whatever tea I have brewing that day. Hibiscus flower w/ rosemary thrown in or chamomile or expresso...who knows whats next!

Usually it is workable w/out being runny on my head, I hang my head in the tub and w/ gloved hands work it in until covered.

If I want to make it difficult I section my hair off to get at the white hair coming in. But only the roots & the henna is a bit textured to work it into your hair that way.

I rinse by filling a cleaning tub with water, again hanging my head over the tub & immerse my head. The henna just falls away in the tub w/out tugging at your hair. I hang my head in that bucket for awhile till I worked most of it out or cant take it anymore. Then get a towel & wrap my head, clean up & start a shower.

The henna comes out of my towels great too..

peace,

ms.t
