That would be the green dye, yes. Once I got some that had so much
sand and green dye that it cost me a visit by a plumber .... but then
I do my hair with half a kilo of henna, so that was a LOT of sand!
The green is an azo dye, but unless you're severely cross sensitized
to that whole group, you should be ok. If you've got a vicious cross
sensitization, it may give you trouble. If you've got cranky plumbing
.... that could be a problem too. I don't think the body art
suppliers in the UK have that much sand in their henna ...

The lawsone molecules migrate gradually from the henna into the hair
where they bind with the keratin. Leaving the paste on longer gives
you greater saturation. The scales on some people's hair are more
open than others ... so, yes some people take up dye more easily than
others. Heat makes it take up better. Time makes it take up better.
I think the only answer is to get to know your own hair really well
... gradually develop what works for you.
