Hair gone orange! I want brown

I'm not sure what happened to my second message either. It was going
to be moved from the Henna forum to this site but I can't find it. So
here I am agian, posting it on this site. I am not sure what I am
doing / not doing in order for my message to stay up there...? My
message was:

"I have Asian / Oriental hair which is greying around the temples. I
tried dying with henna and black walnut hull powder but it went
red/orange. The wlanut powder didn't work somehow. I am not sure if I
soaked it right. How do I get a brown tint from walnut powder? Are
there other ways too? Any ideas out there?? Please help!"
