: Ooo, please test peroxide! I'd love to add some highlights to my
: hair (it is 28F outside. I am NOT going to go sit in the sun with
: lemon, because I am more likely to freeze hair instead of lighten
it
: that way) and get more variation in my colour (naturally few
: highlights), but if it's going to trash my henna, I'd rather not.
: Hehe.
I tried it this monday. I used very strong bleach (peroxyde) to
highlight one strand of hennaed hair. the bleach turned my dark
blonde roots white, and the hennaed part of the strand went a
superbright unnatural orange.

it looks like the henna is just not affected by bleach, and the
bleach only zaps the colour of the underlying hair away - the colour
is exactly the colour you'd get if you'd henna platina blonde hair, I
think. as a highlight it's not so bad, but you really wouldn't want
to get the colour near your face I think. it's not a colour anybody's
hair would naturally have.
