Hi Dee!
What a coincidence...
I just got here ready to post a question about the same thing! Maybe
not so strange since I've been hennaing my hair for only a little bit
longer than you, and so we are probably both reaching
that "saturation point" where we have a lot of henna in our hair. If
you're like me, you probably are quite happy with the colour you've
got now and don't want to keep going darker and darker...

I am going to try a "roots only" next time, and I've only ever gone
it alone up till now. I'm lucky in that I started a light redhead to
begin with so that my roots aren't terribly noticable (well I'm at
least 3 or 4 shades darker now, so I notice them but my friends
insist they can't.) Still eventually they need attention, and need to
be done. I am so happy with the fact that the henna doesn't fade out
or go a strange colour, but this last time I felt that I have
achieved a colour I'm happy with and I'd like to leave it as is for
now if its possible...

Only problem is I am addicted to that lovely shiny thick conditioning
I get with the full head treatment. I wonder if anyone has any
experience with using a henna/cassia combo, or a "dilute" henna paste
or just leaving it on for a much shorter amount of time? I hate the
idea of giving up the full head treatment, but want to stop the henna
build up for now? Any thoughts?
