I had blond highlights and medium dark brown hair with a bit of white
and I followed Kim's advise with the 50% henna and 50% indigo mix and
it did a great job blending my hair by darkening the highlights and
getting the warm orangish tint out of the henna in my blond
highlights. My hair is about the same color as hers now just not as
full and curly.

People mentioned below that indigo releases in 15-20 minutes and
expires after an hour or so, so any extra time on your head is mostly
for the henna. I think the heat would just make it absorbed into your
hair faster and deeper.

Now I use less indigo so my hair doesn't get too dark. Kim's mix page
saved me a lot of steps by going right for the 50/50 mix to get the
highlights blended rather than stepping it up a little at a time.
Thank you Kim for writing your process up. I don't think you can go
completely black with a mix of henna and indigo, the risk is more if
you do the indigo as a second step process.
