I have used Avigal "Red" when I was without body art henna. It seems
to be straight henna, but much coarser than body art. The batch I have
releases dye quickly and stains about the same as body art, but is
much more difficult to work with. Even a good dose of sugar or
colloidal oatmeal wonn't make it behave the way body art does. Dries
more quickly, and is rock hard when dry - takes a lot of soaking to
soften it again. And I'm only doing my moustache - I'd hate to think
of using it on my whold head ;=>

Who knows what is in the other "colors" - I assume various mixes of
henna, indigo and other things. Tried the "Brown" and got nothing -
no staining of any kind.
