: I have only hennaed twice, and both times it was in the summer and I
: used the hose outside to rinse my hair. At the time I was using the
: mountain brand. Now I have some henna from Pakistan put out by
: Starwest herbs. If its rinsed off in the shower is it bad for the
: plumbing? I was thinking about using a large bucket in the tub, but
: then it will be hard to get down the stairs once the rinsing is
: done. Is it necessary to go to such extremes to save the plumbing?

If it doesn't have sand in it, you're ok.
To see if there's sand ............ put some of the paste in a ceramic
bowl, and rub the paste against the side of the bowl with a metal
spoon. You hear gritting? Not good.

That's one of the other good things about body art quality henna. No
junk in the henna.
