Not amla, but henna

Hi Raven, as I mentioned in my previous post, I have not tested amla.
I did post the link to the Indian website that has a recipe, but it
also includes a few other ingredients that may have an effect.

What I used to get black was to mix my henna in an iron skillet, then
leave it there to develop. It took a while (of course, it's also
winter and cold at my place), but I've read on other sites that it
can take about 12-24 hours for the black color to develop.

I was really surprised at the black-black results I got on my
harvested dark brown hair. Gray hairs turned deep deep coffee brown.

The henna powder I used was not from India, and it's the same powder
I use currently to get my auburn shade.
