Catherine- both times the dye release was quick and very subtle. The
1st time I had left overnight and color change on my hair was toned
down-I attributed this to repeat hennas. The dye release wasn't as
obvious as usual, and I had thought about waiting longer. The 2nd
time I saw the stain on the tissue (baggie method) after about 5-6
hours, used right away and the color was quite strong.I suspect this
batch releases dye quickly and demises quickly. Both times with out
heat, but in a heated room.

Try the baggie method, so you can check the towel/tissue. Might help!
