I meant to add that I had posted this down below in response to
Katherin's thread and thought others might be interested in it as
well.

I have noticed that many people shed hair in the fall. If you had a
bulb on the
end this means that hair had reached its terminal length and it was
time to shed to make room for the new hair. You should notice in
about two months lots of little fine hairs popping up especially
around the hair line. This is perfectly normal. The hairs that
have shed went dormant about two or three months ago and are now
shedding as the new hair has began to push on it.

Also hormonal shifts due to perimenopause will cause more hairs to
shed than normal and this happens in cycles. I am fifty and have
had three major sheds due to hormonal shifts, but it has always
come
back. I am very particular about my diet and I use the essential
oils recipe that was posted here some time ago. I'll post it again
to save time in searching

4oz (120ml) Jojoba oil or Emu oil

16 drops (1/8 teaspoon) of the following EO:

Thyme
Atlas Ceddarwood
Rosemary
Lavender

I have also added 8 drops of Basil to this, but it was not part of
the original recipe.

Ayurverdic oils are also good for thinning hair. These include:

Amla
Bhringara
Brahmi

Of course there are many things can effect hair loss and thinning.
These can include stress, hair dye, not enough nutrients in your
diet and hormonal shifts.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Meg
