: Greetings,
:
: I had excellent results with henna/lemon juice/essential oil and
: then about 1/3 indigo (with essential oil added). Used tea tree
and
: lavendar essential oils. Formula was perfect and I thank the
others
: on this site for their formulas that helped me!
:
: Now my grey roots are showing again. :-( With normal hair dyes and
a
: dark brunette hair you have to be careful because if you
continually
: re-dye the entire hairshaft, the bottom part gets darker and
darker
: until it's almost black. Then you have a reddish upper 1/3 and
: almost black on the rest. Obviously I don't want that. I'm
probably
: 1/8th grey, so I have to do something...
:
: SO my question is: what about henna? Can I re-dye the entire head
of
: hair, or should I somehow try to only dye the roots? What happens
: the second and/or third time around with body art quality henna on
: the hair.
:
: OR, should I leave out the indigo the second time -- maybe it
would
: be a source of hair turning blacker on the ends?
:
: I guess I just hope that I can get the hair color to be identical
to
: what it is now -- on the whole hair shaft...
:
: AND, third question. Another woman told me she doesn't do henna
: because each batch of henna (even if high quality) comes out a
: different color? If I order my henna from catherine each time, is
: this likely?
:
: Thanks for any feedback,
: Cynthia

Try a tint brush for doing your roots every couple weeks. It's easy
once you get the hang of it. Been doing this for years and my hair
is healthy and gorgeous if I do say so meself.
