What did you actually use on your hair?

Henna isn't a wax, it's a powder, and it's frequently soldadulterated. I'm guessing that you used some sort of commercial hair
product which claimed to have a bit of henna in it. Worse, the stuff
they often put in with the henna, for instance metallic salts, can
react with chemical dyes and wreck your hair (which gives henna a bad
name, since henna alone will not do that.) It was most likely the
other ingredients which wrecked your hair. What did you use, and can
you list the ingredients maybe?
