on the indigo front: need more help

OK, I've got great henna and indigo (both from Catherine) and have
used them so many times in the past (usually I do a long henna
application of 5-12 hours and then an indigo app of 2-4 hours), and
in so many different ways (tried different dye releases, tried
different ingredients, tried simple instructions, etc.) but am still
having problems getting the indigo to make the hair black... and to
stay that way! It seems as if the indigo washes out within a couple
of rinses. Any tips? I thought that someone had mentioned doing a
vinegar wash directly after washing the indigo out, but not sure...

I'm willing to try ANYTHING at this point!!!
