Gambier is AFAICT currently called Uncaria, not Ourouparia, which
appears to be a synonym. It is in either Rubiaceae (which also
contains madder, another dye plant, and coffee) or Naucleaceae, a
spinoff of Rubiaceae.

Great info! Which of the natural color companies have the most
honest labels?
