thanx so much for your answer! now i know, why my dye was so bright
and beautiful when i used lemon juice two monthes ago and isn't
anymore because i din't use this acid for the last two times. i didnt
see a connection.

: : hi,
: :
: : i have just a silly question: why do so many women add lemon
juice
: to
: : their henna? what is that good for?
: :
: : rosa
:
: For the henna to release the dye molecules, you have to break up
the
: plant cells where the molecules live. The most effective way to
: break up the cell walls is with an acid of some sort (heat also
: helps, but not as efficiently). Lemon juice is the most common
acid
: to use because it works quickly, very well, is inexpensive,
: reasonably unlikely to cause allergic reactions, and is easy to
find.
