: : If you scroll down to where you posted 'to itch his own,' I was
: : asking about how you use it as an antidote to the hellacious
itch
: : some of us [including me] get from lemon juice. Do you throw it
in
: : dry, or as a solution? - I know you said to add it after dye
release.
: : And how much per 100g of henna? Thanks - if this works, I'll be
: : extremely grateful to you, as no doubt will many of us!
:
: I don't use it. I don't get an itch from lemon juice; I get an itch
from
: pityrosporum/malassezia, and when that happens I know it's been too
long since
: my last henna.

Thank, Pierre: right, then, can anybody else help on this one? Does
it matter if you just pitch in the bicarb, or need it be in solution?
Please forgive me if I sound dim, but I really have no idea. In my
case, even minimal lemon juice (1/4c. per 100 g of henna) has caused
persistent contact dermatitis, and I certainly do not want to stop
hennaing! If those of you who use ACV successfully can suggest some
EO to add so it doesn't [to me] reek of pickling, I'd be grateful for
that, too - or let me know if I can go even lighter on the lemon
juice. I was using the 50/50 juice/H20 until dye release, then
sufficient water to make the henna about the consistency of stirred
yogurt. Many thanks in advance.
