Yes, that was me. I used the amla with indigo first and I did get
very black. One month later I used amla with henna and again I got
black, but with a red cast. Tomorrow I will use indigo. I did this
on my daughter as well who has medium brown hair. She now has very
black hair that does not appear to fade with washing. We left the
the henna mix on for six hours and the indigo on for four hours.
Her hair is more beautiful than it ever has been. I hope this helps
those on the quest for black hair.
I did not use cast iron so I do not know if that would help with the
effects or not. I just wonder about the oxidized iron seeping
through the skin and into the blood. Maybe it's not a problem, I
don't know.
