: I said in the other post I didn't want to hijack too much, so I'd
post separately.

: I took pics of coloring my roots this past time. The pictures
aren't great but I hope
: you can see a little of how it went, and be comforted that even
with the one-step
: process I don't get any hints of greenish on the gray, instead they
are more coppery.

: How I do the one-step process I explained in my reply to your other

Kim!
this is brilliant! Thank you so much for all the information and
pics. Its giving me the confidence to go ahead and try a one step
indigo/henna application. I have been a redhead all my life, this
years foray into henna is the only messing around with my hair I have
ever done, so I'm not really keen to go anywhere other than red;
however, if I could get something a lot less coppery and downright
orange I think it would be great.

Well done getting all the pictures! Very helpful, I'm sure Catherine
will be interested in them for the grey hair section...

Oh and btw, relevant to the post in the other (not purple...) thread,
CONGRATULATIONS on the impending addition! I used to love the fact
(among other things about being pregnant) that my hair grew like MAD
for 9 months. However the inevitable "fallout" always came, and with
each subsequent child the effect was more bizarre because my head had
only begun to recover from the previous loss. As a consequence my
hair has never regained its former long thick glory of my days B.C.
(before children). I find it really demoralising to have to cut it
but in this instance it was inevitable...I'm hoping that henna and
time will help it recover. I didn't mind the long and skimpy look
until three of four inches of new growth started to show under the
length --not a good look. My baby is 15 months now, and I only
stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago; when I did, fallout started
again, YUCK! Oh well, I always said, I would still have had them even
if I knew it would make me bald!

thanks again for your wisdom and experience!

Diane ( I posted briefly on the other thread too)
