Paprika?

I have only been hennaing my hair for 2 months (have done it 2ce) and
i am absolutely hooked! It really is the greatest thing ever.i have
been dying my hair red with chemical dyes for 5 years, and not only
has it damaged my hair terribly, but the real redness of it always
seemed to wash out after a week, leaving me hair a slightly lighter
than natural but brassy and dull colour. But henna has made it bright
and vibrant, and i have left it longer than ever before without
cutting it (i have been trying to grow it for years with no success)
and i don't even have a single split end yet! Also, i used henna
straight over hair that had been chemically dyed only a month before
and it was absolutely fine, much better condition.

My only slight problem is that i want really RED red hair, properly
fiery if you know what I mean. A lot of people in the photos on this
site seem to have acheived this. My results so far have been a bit
orangey, although I realise I have only tried 2ce, and it will improve
with subsequent applications. Also I have not yet tried good quality
Henna, only cheap ones (I have ordered some of the good stuff now
though!).

I have read in a lot of places though, that if you add paprika to the
mix it will spice it up a bit, and also that lemon juice can be used
(i have only been mixing henna and water so far), and also that the
mixture should be left for a while to develop prior to application.

Bearing in mine that I would like my hair to be as RED as red can be,
would any experienced hennaist be kind enough to answer these
questions for me?:

1. If I add paprika to the mix, how much should I add/what proportion
to the Henna?

2. Ditto with lemon juice

3. How long should I leave the mixture to develop?

Thank you very much, I look forward to any replies.
