Mixing frozen henna paste with new henna powder..

I was wondering how you add new henna powder to henna paste that has
been frozen. Do I defrost the paste, add the powder and lemon juice,
let it sit out overnight and then use it? OR do I have to mix the
new powder with lemon juice, let it sit out overnight and THEN mix it
with the defrosted paste? Thanks...
