Old henna sheds onto clothes?

Katherine thank you and in deed it does help. I did suspect that it was poor
quality henna for a moment, but with bad henna I thought you only got fading
of the color not shedding of the color all over your clothes. The tannins don't
cling as strongly in old henna? That would be my less than scientific
assumption...

But thanks to all. I'm going to order some henna from From Nature With Love
tomorrow (are they a good source btw?).
