If Dec 2002 was the last time that your hair was chemically treated,
then you should be safe for another henna.

Just do a strand test first!

You can try to swing your color to the browner shades by using
coffee, although that doesn't seem to work as well as using black
walnut hulls, but walnut hulls are a pretty common allergen so be
careful. :)
