I'll second the throw it in the freezer to keep. I use Castle Artsall the time and have have pulled out henna that's been in there six
months or so and it stains just as well as when I first got it.
(just ask hubby of the odd henna stains from helping with my
hair...LOL) Also I've noticed that her plain old Indian henna powder
seems to hold up the best to having to sit in a metal mailbox all
afternoon in the AZ summer sun if your worried about it waiting for
you to come home and pull it out of the mail. (No idea why it stands
the heat so well.....)
