dye release time: can you overdue it?

I am hennaing my hair as I write. what I'm wondering is: can you
overdue it on the dye release time? In the past, I would only let
the henna settle (usually in a coffee mixture) for about an hour
before applying. This time, however, I left it in a covered bowl
(coffee and lemon juice mixture) for about 60 hours (just because I
have been busier than I'd thought I'd be 3 days ago). Does anyone
know whether this amount of time to wait is too much?
