In theory, since henna is hydrophobic (hates water) *excess* color
should release into the mineral oil.

But if you do this, you're stuck with both remaining henna color
*and* a horribly oily head. Mineral oil does NOT wash out, and is
just as bad as putting Vaseline in your hair - both are petroleum
products and totally insoluble in water. **I can't stress this
enough.** Do this, and you'll be hunting for a container of
pumiceless mechanic's Orange Goop in no time.

Ditch the alcohol. It's drying, and will strip needed oils from
your hair.

Use cold-expressed coconut oil instead. Works on lice, totally
trashes nits, deep conditions, doesn't smell, is a natural product,
and is damned yummy for cooking too. The last time I coconutted my
head, it only took 2 shampoos with my Suave Coconut shampoo to get
98% of it out of my almost waist length hair.

Speaking of which, I may coconut after I rinse this damned henna
out... *rofl*
