Recovery from surgery is not always quick, so you may not feel like
tending your hair for a while.

When I've had to go in to get stuff fixed, I try to get my hair
hennaed, then braided, so there's minimum of "inevitable uglification"
and massive rats nests by the time I am ready to brush my hair again.

I can't think of any reason on earth why the henna would interfere
with your surgery, but you might go for a week ahead, just to be certain.
