henna and deep oil conditioning

I was wondering does anyone know if say you did an oil treatment to
your hair overnight with coconut oil and rosemary etc. then in the
morning, could you apply the henna over that? Would the henna still
take and seal in the moisture for instance? Im just curious, because
I think I read somewhere that you can add olive oil to your henna mix
before applying. I thought that by having the deep oil treatment on
your hair then applying the henna over that, you would really get a
great conditioning! Any ideas on that ?
