It is usually advised that you henna first, because henna conditionsyour hair, indigo does not. Also, if you are looking for a deep
colour, the henna helps to give a rich base to the indigo, so you
get dark brown/black rather than just red/auburn, rather than a
greenish tinge if you only use indigo.
