: Has anyone here used a Henna by Lush? It is in brick form and seems
: to have everything already added. I am in my 50's used henna on my
: hair about 25 years ago. It seems things have changed even with
: henna. LOL. Any way after a few years of Henna, red hair dye was
: allowed back on the market and I started dying my hair. I was very
: carefuland took very good care of my hair. It was fine up until
this
: year, my hair is too dry and doesn't hold the color anymore because
: the cuticle is so open. I have been doing alot of research and
know
: not to put any henna on my hair for a few months, but, I just read
: on another site that if you hair is too dry and damamged you should
: not henna it at all is this true?

No, not true at all! Henna repairs the cuticle and smooths it, and
you'll be amazed at what great condition it's in after you henna.
You can start doing strand or hairbrush tests within a month of your
last hair dye experience, too.

Now, on the subject of Lush...forget it. Not worth the time, effort,
or money involved. Instead, if you're willing to go red, get a bunch
of body-art quality henna and mix that with lemon juice and plop that
on your head. Read around this site in the How and Mixes section to
try to customize the plan for yourself.
