I'm assuming it's just another form of chemical treatment, so to apply
the same rules as that. And the situation with chemical dyes is that
it's normally fine, provided you leave some time in between. It's
very important to use pure henna. Other vegetable dyes added might be
OK (though frequently don't work very well), but anything with
metallic salts like sodium picramate should be avoided like the
plague. As for what colours you can get, have a look at the Mixes
section.

It might be easiest to go to the hair table which is there first of
all, see who hennaed over chemically treated and/or dark blonde hair,
and then look at the colours they got. Generally speaking, dark
blonde hair goes quite a bright red, but it's perfectly possible to
get a dark colour, like Elektra's.

The other thing is that first of all you try out the henna on a
hairbrush sample (hair gathered from your hairbrush), and then do a
strand test on your head. It won't 100% guarantee the final colour,
but it'll give you a pretty good idea and it's particularly useful for
checking for bad reactions.
