Hi Meg,
I have been on CO routine for about 5-6 months, and I continue to do
that even after henna. I have curly, naturally dry porous hair, and I
find that it still loves and needs as much moisture as I can give it.

Having said that, henna does leave it feeling thicker and looking
shinier which I LOVE. The only other thing I find is that the henna
tends to fade a lot faster than I would like it to, and I do wonder
if it has something to do with the conditioner-only routine. There
was some debate here on the boards a while back about whether oily
substances and deep conditioning can help remove some of the henna
dye. Some people tended to think it is possible, but most agree that
henna is permanent.

I think its just my super porous hair, losing the pigment faster. I
just find it disappointing 'cause it can tend to look a bit brassy as
it fades -- the initial colour I get is so rich and deep.
