It will be orange to rusty colored for a while, but as it oxidizes
it will level out. You could mix indigo with your henna for a
cooler effect. My hair is black and I am still rather new at this.
My last results were mixed as far as my satisfaction. I also have
greying hair. I used henna and then the remains of some
Rainbow "Black" henna. It is not really black henna, but rather
doctored indigo. I should throw it out, but I hate to be wasteful.
What I got was a black red color. I guess it is black cherry or
very dark auburn. It's hard to explain, but the grey looks very
natural in it. They are definatly streaks of auburn. The color is
beautiful, but I am a winter with soft black hair so I am not sure
it looks natural on me. I ordered some good quality indigo from
here and I will take it back to black, but I have to admit, the
color is growing on me! As each day passes it becomes darker (eight
days now), so I just don't know for sure which way I will go.
