Seriously, how could you get a dog to accept having mud and cling film
on his rear end for a good hour or so? We used to put knickers on the
dogs when they were in season, and they never liked it, they kept
trying to get them off. And that was just plain cotton knickers, no
henna involved. You never know, though.

I was about to ask whether you'd tried tea tree, but you shouldn't use
tea tree on dogs, they can have fairly nasty reactions to it.
Lavender and so forth (suitably diluted, of course) could be worth a try.
