The orangeness of it all

Hiya!

I've been thinking of hennaing my hair, it would be fun to be a red
head. Except the patch test I did on scavanged hair turned orange,
almost clown orange. I'm one of those freakily blonde people and
about half the hairs on my head have no pigment whatso ever (they are
prismatic on a microscope slide) which means that on half my hairs
the only color present would be the henna stain. So, anyone have some
hints on reddening henna? Or is the hank I dyed going to get darker
(it dyed for 4 hours last night)? Maybe two or three layers?
