Henna stain

Do all good quality body art henna powders give basically the same
stain? I was reading another site where they were discussing the
different shades of red given by henna from henna grown in different
parts of the world. I thought it was basically all the same with
the differences depending on your own hair. I do know that some
will behave differently depending on growing conditions and
location, but I thought the stain was the same. Or could it be the
stain is different on skin and the same on hair. I have experience
with only one henna powder, besides Rainbow which doesn't count, and
it was excellent so I don't think I will change just for slight
differences. I'm just curious.
